Please read below for descriptions of the awards that are still available this year:
Paper of the Year Award - DEADLINE EXTENDED to Friday 2/14/25
Are you presenting a paper this year at NRHC2025? Submit your paper ahead of time to the paper of the year award. The Paper of the Year Award recognizes outstanding papers presented as panel talks at the NRHC annual conference. Winning papers will be featured in a special Conference Edition of Illuminate, the NRHC Undergraduate Research Journal. Papers must be submitted ahead of time for judging. Click here for details.
The application deadline for this award is Friday, February 14th at 11:59 p.m.
Creative of the Year Award - DEADLINE EXTENDED to Friday 2/14/25
The Creative of the Year Award recognizes outstanding creative work that may be presented at the conference as part of the Performing Arts and Film Showcase and/or Art Gallery. However, submissions that aren’t being presented at the conference but celebrate the conference theme are welcome. Works must be submitted ahead of time for judging. Winning creative works will be published and featured in a special Conference Edition of Illuminate, the NRHC Undergraduate Research Journal. Click here for more details. Student of the Year Award deadline 2/27/25
Students may self-nominate or be nominated, but all applications will need a letter of recommendation from a staff person, student responses to short answer questions, student resume, and student headshot. Click here for more details.

Honors Professional of the Year Award deadline 2/27/25
To qualify for this recognition, the honors professional must continually demonstrate a dedication to honors education at his/her honors program/college. Professionals may self-nominate or be nominated. This application only requires a letter of recommendation for the nominated individual. Click here for more details.
