Presenters were sent emails on March 6 with tips to prepare for their presentations. Please read below for a recap on these helpful hints.
We are 21 DAYS away from officially kicking off #NRHC2025! We hope you are excited about the upcoming conference. We wanted to write to you to remind you about some important items as you make your final preparations for your presentations.
The Schedule
The conference program is being regularly updated. Access the program here. Please double check your presentation session and room (some changes were made). This page is the only source for the conference program this year.
Prep Session Recordings
We have an archive of proposal prep sessions. You can access our 2024 playlist or what we were able to record on our 2025 playlist.
Presentation Certificates
You will be given a presentation certificate at check-in for the conference. This is a small token to commemorate your participation in our conference.
On a note unrelated to your presentation, please be sure to work with your Honors Program/College to bring some SWAG as giveaways during our fun student events throughout the weekend. SWAG can be t-shirts, mugs, water bottles, and anything in-between.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are looking forward to your stellar presentations on Saturday and Sunday. Safe travels to Harrisburg!
Specifics for Academic Panel
A/V will be provided in ALL breakout rooms! Please take advantage! All breakout rooms will also be equipped with PC laptops that can run presentation slides and PDF presentations.
The laptops provided in the breakout rooms are Chrome Books. Be advised if you are using a Microsoft PowerPoint that it will open in Google Slides, and formatting/animations might be lost. You can plan to convert your PowerPoint to PDF in advance of your presentation or upload and present through Microsoft 365.
Please be sure that you have your slides in readily available on a USB/flash drive. You will be able to access the internet as well, but it is always good to have a backup. The moderators in your session will be there to help you get set-up.
There are some helpful presentation guidelines below.
Timing
Please remember to check the program to see how many panelists are on your panel. You should plan to speak for up to 15 minutes but please do not go shorter than 12 minutes. Moderators will be using the order listed in the conference program--please do not request switches. Q&A and discussion will be led after all panelists give their presentations.
Specifics for Posters
Poster Boards & Clips
There will be a limited supply of trifold poster boards and binder clips. They will be distributed to students on a first come, first serve basis.
If it is possible for you to bring your own board and clips, please do so. The presentation boards are traditionally tri-fold 48x36 boards. You will set your board on top of a table (there will be two presenters at each table).
Please be sure to pack your poster!
Specifics for Roundtables
Attached are the roundtable presentation guidelines for your reference. Please review them carefully. There are some very distinct features to being a roundtable presenter!
Specifics for Idea Exchange
You will have a table for your Idea Exchange. Please feel free to bring a tablecloth and decorative features for your table to attract people to stop by.
You can stand a trifold poster on your table or any other visual component. It cannot be guaranteed that you will be near a power outlet should you want to have a laptop or tablet on your table—be sure you’re fully charged!
Feel free to make brochures or handouts for passersby. It is also a good idea to bring business cards. The nature of idea exchange is to network and share with others.
Let us know if you have any questions about preparing for your idea exchange.
