Hotel: Hilton Harrisburg, One N 2nd St, Harrisburg, PA 17101, 717-233-6000 (Note: the hotel block opens on Monday, Jan. 13. Please do not contact the hotel before this time.)
Room Rate Per Night: $179 (single to quad occupancy)
Early Bird Registration (Jan 13 - Feb 20): $325 per person

Regular Registration (Feb 21 - March 14): $350 per person

On-site Registration (March 27 - 30): $450 per person

Conference Information

​

The 2025 Conference Theme is Civic Engagement at the Crossroads. You can read the conference theme here. The following presentation formats will be included in #NRHC2025:

  • Academic Panel Presentations

  • Poster Presentations

  • Roundtable Presentations

  • Idea Exchange Presentations

  • Performing Arts and Film Showcase

Note - Conference attendees can also participate in the Art Gallery event which takes place on Friday evening during the conference. While only one presentation per attendee is allowed at the NRHC, any presenter can also participate in the Art Gallery. A separate sign-up sheet for the Art Gallery will be shared in January.

Opportunities to Publish

​

We would like to encourage you to submit your presentation electronically to the NRHC journal, Illuminate. We encourage submissions across all presentation platforms. The 2025 edition of Illuminate is in process so we are not currently accepting submissions. We will accept submissions for the 2026 edition of Illuminate starting in fall 2024. Proposers should consider the following guidelines:

  • For academic entries: please note that posters and/or PowerPoint presentations will not be considered. Illuminate only accepts academic papers of 5,000 words or less for consideration.

  • For art entries: students are invited to send a detailed summary of their art project and pictures for consideration.

  • Creative works: students are also invited to submit creative writing or other artistic pieces to the journal for consideration.

  • Full submission guidelines are available HERE. The form for submissions will be open by October 25, 2024 and submissions are due no later than May 19, 2025.
